The medical system has played a large role in undermining the health of Americans. Medical mistakes are in fact the third leading cause of death in the United States!

‘Health care’ costs are currently $8,233 per year per person in USA, while estimates of the annual costs of medical errors now reach $1 trillion.

Drug companies spend $4 billion a year on ads to consumers! This can bring up a disconcerting conclusion:
“It is more profitable for medical suppliers to produce products consumers use for the rest of their lives than to make products that a consumer might use only once. Invariably, this means [developing] products that treat the symptoms of diseases rather than the cause or the cure.” – Paul Zane Pilzer

The most profitable business strategy is treating every health problem as a chronic condition symptomatically managed by prescription medication.

It appears to be working! 3 out of 4 adults aged 50+ take at least one prescription medication on a regular basis. More than 8 in 10 (86 percent) of those age 65+ regularly take prescription drugs, and 53 percent take four or more regular medications.
